Columbus, Ohio – Roberts Electrical Construction Company and Michael Shank Racing, two Columbus-area companies, will partner for the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on June 14-15.
“We have been here in Columbus for more than 30 years, and feel it is time to raise our profile and what better way to do that than to partner with another Columbus-area business,” said Beth Butler, President of Roberts Electrical Construction Company. “We will be the title sponsor for the No. 60 Roberts MSR Ford-Riley with our name and our colors prominently displayed. This is a new adventure for us and we couldn’t have picked a better partner.”
Roberts Electrical Construction Company provides a range of services including emergency power management, lighting, fiber optic network systems, facility management, and a range of green initiatives including solar and photovoltaic systems design.
“I’m an Ohio boy, so to have a sponsor that comes right from our backyard is very cool,” said team owner Mike Shank. “It is really exciting to bring a new group into the sport like this. We are really excited about the weekend because this is our home race, home track, and now we’ve got our home town sponsor here as well, so it’s going to be a really big weekend for us.”
For Roberts Electrical Construction Company, who has a strong reputation within the electrical construction industry, stepping out into the motor-sports arena provides a new platform for building awareness and reaching new markets.
The Diamond Cellar Classic will air LIVE on SPEED starting at 4:30 PM on June 15.
